MT13  PLAYER ASSESSMENT

The MT13 Player Assessment is, we believe, the first of its kind. It has been designed, over the last 3 years, as an assessment tool where players are awarded their MT13 score. The assessment measures the 4 key components of a hockey player;

  • Technical Skill
  • Tactical Understanding
  • Physical Capability
  • Psychological Development

Developed in association with Clubs, Schools and Universities across the UK, Europe and the USA. The player assessment has been designed to remove the subjective reporting on players and standardise how players are assessed – providing them with their MT13 score.

ASSESSMENT FORMAT

An in-depth assessment in which participants will receive a numerical score based upon the 4 key components.  The assessment will take half a day to complete and at the end of the assessment, players will receive their score (out of 100) and a report highlighting areas for growth. Elements of the assessment will also be recorded for further analysis.

WHO IS THE ASSESSMENT SUITABLE FOR?

The assessment is recommended to be carried out by players who are aged between 13-18 years old.  The assessment will be carried out in groups of 12.

It can also be used for team analysis where a coach can bring along their team and the scores can then be used to identify areas of growth for session / season planning.

ASSESSMENT OUTCOME

As well as the MT13 score, players will also receive their showreel which they can use to promote themselves amongst potential Clubs, Schools and Universities across the world. The assessment can be used to highlight areas of growth and outlines areas of personal development that players can work towards.
